Nurture

Division Ministries

CAREGIVERS – cares for homebound members to include visitations, phone calls, sending cards, etc.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION – supports the implementation and leading of Bible Study, Sunday School, book studies, and small group discussions.

MEMBERSHIP – provides for accurate membership rolls and supports in-take as well as working with the Pastor in teaching New Member Classes.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS – promotes healthy lifestyle choices through exercise, diet, education and supporting the work of the Health Clinic and our Emergency Care Team (ECT).

INTERCESSORY PRAYER – meets regularly and as requested by the Senior Pastor to intercede in prayer for the ministry.

STEWARDSHIP MINISTRY – promotes ways for the congregation and community to support the ministry with their time, talent, tithes, gifts, prayers, presence, service, and witness.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE MINISTRY – provides support to bereaved persons during their time of need and during the planning and conducting of the Celebration of Life Service.

Division Ministries

GOLDEN EAGLES – the mission of the ministry is to provide
opportunities for Older Adults at St. Mark to experience Christian
Fellowship, spiritual growth, nurturing, physical enrichment, and sharing the good news of Jesus Christ.

UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH – The UWF is an organized community of women whose purpose is to know God, to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop creative and supportive fellowships, and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

UNITED METHODIST MEN (UMM) – The UMM seeks to encourage fellowship and discipleship amongst the men and male youth and young adults of St. Mark and the community through worship, fellowship, Bible Study, missions, and community outreach.

Young Peoples

Division Ministries

Supports the work of providing opportunities for our children and youth in the areas of worship, spiritual formation, life skills development, academic achievement, community service, mission trips, fun outings, and other mediums to capture the interest of this age group.

Outreach

Division Ministries

HUNGER RELIEF MINISTRY – supports the work of procuring, sorting and stocking food items needed for feeding the hungry and serving those who are in need.

EVANGELISM MINISTRY – shares the word of God through Bible Study and other outreach opportunities to encourage others to experience God’s love, grace, and mercy through His Son, Jesus Christ.

COMMUNICATIONS MINISTRY – connects the church and the
community both locally and globally, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, through the publication of the ST. MARK MESSENGER newsletter as well as using all social media platforms and other electronic mediums.

Worship Arts

Division Ministries

COMMUNION STEWARDS – this ministry prepares the elements for
communion, and assists the Pastor in conducting Baptisms, and worship functions as requested.

USHERS | GREETERS – the mission of the ministry is to welcome our guests and all persons worshipping, and/or attending special services and events at St. Mark. As a part of the worship experience, this ministry is the first point of contact in connecting worshippers with Jesus Christ.

MUSIC – the mission of this ministry is to provide for a holistic and spiritually enriching worship experience for all age demographics through different genres of song, liturgical dance, and other aspects of the arts to include but not limited to singing in a choir, dramatic readings, mime, spoken word, etc.

STREAM TEAM | SOUND – supports the work of providing a worship experience of excellence through operating the sound board and cameras for live streaming of our worship experiences and other services as requested.
